ReplyDeleteI agree, nopie shows rule. However after a while I do miss the Opster.
DeleteNopie shows are unlistenable to me. They're just train wrecks with no direction and usually devolve into Anthony talking about his divorce for the 1736th time, tree fort Richard for the 383th time, losing his virginity to Buzz for the 2923th time or his stupid helicopter for the 87th time.
DeleteYesterday's show was the first time I thought the show was really good without Opie there. And I give credit to Sam for that. He's now able to fill in for Opie and handle some of his duties which allows Anthony and Jim to just do what they do best and not try to do their job AND Opie's job.
For me, Nopie shows are a hit and miss. Besides for Otto and George, I did not enjoy yesterday's show much. It was basically Anthony ranting about the same shit he always rants about without any of the humor of today's epic rant. There's only so much one can take about Anthony talking about black people, guns, or Obama 24/7!

DeleteOpie keeps the show in check... Ant-only shows come off like a podcast. He NEVER goes to the phones. Granted, the phones are rarely a source of entertainment these days... but at least it makes it feel like you're listening to a live show.

ReplyDeleteHATE FUCKING SAM!!! He's the reason I rarely listen to the show when one of the three guys is out. If I do listen, then I will FF through anything he says. His voice just makes me want to vomit. Just utterly useless and dumb.

ReplyDeleteAnt's was on The Sean Hannity Show today. I hope someone can upload that specific segment on the show. It's probably the only reason why I'd ever listen to Hannity or any of the neocons at FOX News.
